Description
The artwork of the American Platinum Eagle pays tribute to some of the United States’ most beloved icons. Prominently featured on the obverse of the is coin is the Statue of Liberty. From her trademark crown to the reassuring expression on her face, artists have taken great care to provide an accurate rendition of this celebrated figure. Her appearance is very consistent with what viewers might see if they were observing the actual statue. Also engraved unto the obverse of the coin are her name accompanied by the coin’s mintage year and the phrase, “In God We Trust.”
