Description
The Call of the Wild Series from the Royal Canadian Mint showcase the sovereign mint of Canada at its best. This beautiful series of gold coins for sale launched in 2014 and offers 1 Troy oz of .99999 pure gold content per coin.
Everything about the Call of the Wild Canadian Gold Coin Series is absolutely stunning. True to its name, the reverse field of all coins in the series shares a common design element. The radiating lines featured in the background behind the unique animal designs are meant to give a visual replication of the sound of the animals call as it goes out into the wild.
Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse side of all of the 1 oz Canadian Gold Bobcat Coins. Her Majesty s shown here in the popular fourth-generation portrait for Canadian coins. This design was created by Susanna Blunt in 2003 and is accompanied by inscriptions of the coins date and face value.
The bobcat snarls and yowls on the reverse of the 1 oz Canadian Gold Bobcat Coin. Often confused for the lynx, the bobcat more closely resembles the common housecat. Like its cousins, the bobcat tends to hiss and snarl when it feels threatened. The only time it typically lets out a loud, audible call is when it yowls during mating season to warn other males of its presence. This is typically done to secure a mate. As with other new gold bullion releases, the Royal Canadian Mint features the micro laser-engraved maple leaf privy security feature on this side of the coin.
