Description
Platinum is widely used each year across a number of industries. Its resistance to corrosion, together with the fact that it is malleable and highly unreactive, makes its a popular metal for use in catalytic converters in automobiles, laboratory equipment, and electrical contacts, just to name a few. With just a few hundred tonnes of platinum produced annually, and the wide number of industries seeking its use each year, platinum has become an incredibly valuable commodity in the precious metals market.
